				<title>Nausheen meets HRH Prince Charles at Leighton House</title>

				<description><![CDATA[<p>On Thursday, May 20, 2010, HRH&nbsp;Prince Charles attended the official re-opening of the Leighton House Museum in Kensington, London. Nausheen was invited on this occasion to present the work that students produced during her Bevington School workshop in March. In addition to being extremely gracious and generous with his praise of the workshop, HRH&nbsp;Prince Charles also discussed progress on the Handmade in Burnley project, the exhibition and workshops for which were developed and lead by Nausheen earlier this year. HRH expressed his joy on the successful Burnley exhibition as well as congratulated the staff at Leighton House on their efforts to raise the money and complete the &pound;1.6 million restoration of Leighton House Museum.</p>]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[<p>Nausheen was today appointed the Director for Research and Design at Vesica, a London based company that promises to launch art management software with the intent to change the way art collectors, artists, galleries and auction houses manage their objects d'art. In her new role, Nausheen will be leading all traditional research work and will help with enhancing the functionality of the company's core software to enable its documentation platform to grow with industry requirements and research work the company undertakes for art collectors. At the Exhibition were a variety of pieces, including the wall hanging made of each of the participants' pieces put together. Some of Nausheen's product development designs, including an abaya and a&nbsp; traditional embroidered laptop&nbsp; cover, were also on display.</p>]]></description>

				<title>Handmade in Burnley a success!</title>

The workshop was aimed at developing skills and techniques which would lend to future product development. Work completed by participants during these workshops is to be exhibited at an exhibition at the University of Central Lancashire in Burnley on February 5th.</p>

				<description><![CDATA[<p>Sheikha Altaf Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah has cordially invited Nausheen, an accomplished artist in Islamic Art, to once again visit Sadu House in September / October 2009. As part of her trip, Nausheen will conduct a workshop around the study and exploration of Arabesque (Islimi) in a variety of media. </p>
<p>Nausheen will also be giving a lecture, which will discuss the philosophy, theory and symbolism which formulates the foundation of traditional crafts and tie in this symbolism with the practice of traditional crafts, such as textiles and calligraphy.</p>]]></description>

				<title>Proposal for Royal Partnership</title>

				<description><![CDATA[<p>As part of the Prince's School of Traditional Arts (PSTA) initiative to further its goals of spreading the knowledge and wisdom of the traditional arts, the charity has signed a deal with some of the most dynamic museums and art organisations in&nbsp;Abu Dhabi to setup courses and departments in various fields of arts.</p>
<p>Nausheen put forward a comprehensive textile proposal as part of this effort from PSTA which received a very positive response and played an important part in the agreement to eventually take the project forward, forming a relationship between the Prince's Trust in the UK and the Royal family backing the initiative in&nbsp;Abu Dhabi.</p>]]></description>

				<title>Traditional Textiles Weaving - Short Course</title>

				<description><![CDATA[<p>Nausheen will teaching a short course focusing on Traditional Textiles and Weaving this autumn at the Prince's School of Traditional Arts. The course will last from October 10 to October 31, 2009.</p>
<p>Students will be introduced to a range of traditional textiles through an understanding of the art of textile design. The course will explore weaving techniques and various applications to create a woven panel. Students will also develop an understanding of the symbolism behind weaving.</p>

The workshops focused on developing the textile skills of the local residents, with an aim to helping Burnley revive its lost culture from the days it housed the textile mills.</p>]]></description>

				<title>An Exhibition of Flatweaves</title>

				<description><![CDATA[<span class="news">Starting April 9th, Nausheen will work with Joss Graham at the Exhibition of Flatweaves to conduct two different introductory weaving classes at the gallery in Victoria, London. Booking is available and seating is strictly limited, so please call the gallery to reserve. <br />

The exhibition will focus on Kilims and dhurries from Central Asia, Iran, North Africa and India, and will run from 9th April to 31st May, 2008.<br />
<br />
The two workshops are scheduled for Saturdays the 12th and 18th of April, 2008, and run oly GBP 75 per person, which incudes lunch, refreshments and all the materials required to complete the workshop.<br />

				<title>Bait / Beit / Biet Al Sadu - Kuwait</title>

<p>February 12th through the 26th, the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.princesschooltraditionalarts.org/">Prince's School of Traditional Arts</a> held a workshop and an exhibition of the school's work in Kuwait. The workshops were held in conjunction with Prince Charles' Gulf Tour and were hosted at the Bait Al Sadu / Biet Al Sadu / Beit Al Sadu in Kuwait City. Sheikha Altaf Salem A. al Sabah was the hostess, and the workshop and exhibition was part of her plan to revive the old and traditional arts in Kuwait. <br />
<br />
Nausheen was present as one of the members of the Prince's School of Traditional Arts, and taught a workshop in Textiles- Pattern, Colour, and Texture. In addition, she helped co-ordinate the event and briefed Prince Charles on the workshop's Performance. <br />
