African Peacock
Hand painted in reddish brown underglazes. The peacock motif forms an embossed effect on the plate and the shades range from dark brown to reddish maroon, which is highlighted in the peacock's feathered tail. The overglaze is applied first and then the underglaze is painted over it, to create a accentuated embossed effect.
