Rumi Ivory
The design is a 9th century motif, originaly used on a bowl in lustre. The wings of the bird form a 'Rumi' motif. The oval shapes on the edges are surrounded by a textural surface which has been created by small indentations in the porcelain. This creates a striking contrast to the smoothness of the Rumi wings.
